The Office of Volunteer Resources believes strong communities identify and solve problems alongside local government.
The City of Virginia Beach recognizes the tremendous reserve of knowledge, talent and skill within our community and encourages citizens to contribute their valuable time and talents to a variety of jobs on a volunteer basis. The City encourages citizens to get involved and participate in the development and enhancement of the city and the community in which they live and work.
Established in 1978, Volunteer Resources seeks to maximize the full potential of the City's volunteers by promoting awareness of opportunities, fostering effective volunteer resource management, and documenting the scope and impact of volunteer engagement.
